Ground Water Studies

Ground Water Studies

Our team is committed to develop integrated solutions for ground water utilization and management, including abstraction and intersection. We detect availability of underground water and evaluate ground sources for long term availability. These studies are beneficial for projects that required permission or clearance from ground water authority for abstraction of ground water or intersection of ground water table.

AEC provides a full range of groundwater services, including investigations, hydrogeologic assessment, aquifer testing, quarterly monitoring, modeling, and site remediation. We have conduct groundwater studies to determine the nature and extent of aquifer contamination and to delineate plume boundaries, evaluate remediation alternatives, develop conceptual and numerical models, implement and monitor cleanups, and perform routine monitoring.

Data Acquisition and Analysis

AEC has extensive experience in the installation of monitoring wells and collection of groundwater samples in a variety of geologic settings, regulatory environments, contaminant scenarios, and project types. Our capabilities include the acquisition and statistical analysis of data to fully characterize groundwater conditions. We can perform large-scale pumping tests to predict the long-term yield and effectiveness of groundwater extraction networks, or more limited testing when appropriate to the project.

We use statistical analysis to quantify specific aquifer properties and long-term trends to understand the source, transport, and migration of groundwater contaminants.

Groundwater Resources and Modeling

Our highly trained and experienced hydrogeologists employ groundwater modeling and other investigative and quantitative approaches to address groundwater issues.

For groundwater resources projects, AEC has experience in performing hydrogeologic investigations and exploration, aquifer testing and evaluation, groundwater modeling, well field siting and expansion projects, existing well field evaluation studies, and wellhead protection plans and studies.

Pumping Well and Network Design

AEC’s experience includes the design of groundwater-withdrawal networks, using either drains or pumping wells in both unconsolidated and bedrock aquifers. We design of extraction points based on site geology, well efficiency, anticipated pumping rates, and drawdowns.
